Deed issued to Hewitt by the Oakland Cemetery Association for a burial lot in Oakland Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota, April 23, 1870. Accompanying the deed are a "Guarantee for Perpetual Improvement" (April 12, 1902), a St. Paul Pioneer Press clipping stating the deed had been placed on record with the Ramsey County Register of Deeds (February 11, 1910), a copy of the Minnesota law relating to the descent of burial lots (July 1, 1935), a listing of the names, ages, and death years of persons buried in the lot between 1873 and 1940, and a diagram of the graves in the lot (July 27, 1949).
